How Online Competitors are Attacking Each Other with Feedback - Beat Them or Eliminate Them

In the world of the media, giving someone attention whether good or bad is a form of publicity and it tends to help the party receiving the attention to become more well known. Publicity then, good or bad, tends to help the overall individual or company, unless it's so horrible. General publicity is good , not bad, even if it's not favorable.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion of a product or service and we are fortunate to have a multitude of choices as well as prices. It's a fabulous thing that not everyone likes or wants the same thing.

The scary and unfortunate part of feedback is when a competitor will go out of their way to downgrade or attack another person's product or service with the sole intention of keeping traffic away from the other person's business for the benefit of their own business.

It takes just as much time to say something positive as it does to say something negative. Intentions of a person's feedback should be considered. Let's say for example, you don't like or understand something about their product or service. If you have good intentions and you are sincere and would be willing to offer positive criticism and advice to that person or company, it's totally possible to send that person or company an e-mail with your concerns and recommendations.

On the other hand, to publicly criticize a product or service and leave the comments and ratings for the cyberworld to see can be very cruel and even harmful to another person's business or traffic to their site. If that's your intention to ruin others, know that if others are following your same line of reasoning, you may be attacked someday or multiple times and it doesn't feel good.

Feedback is important if someone if operating in a manner to steal money fron customers and you can stop others from losing money . There are fraudulent parties operating with destructive tactics and that's great that the internet feedback can prevent people from dangerous financial perils .

The better we all get as individuals and companies, the better we serve others, our society, and the world. If you can help someone in cyberspace be better, please take the time to enlighten them instead of destroy them. Many people will thank you.

Why Are Lowered Floor, Wheelchair Accessible Vans So Expensive

Before I started working at VMI, I had the exact same question. It didn't take me long to figure out why these conversions are so costly. I highly suggest that anyone who is in the market for a wheelchair accessible van, try and visit the manufacturer and see how the vans are built. Since we are in Phoenix, a major vacation destination, many customers like to stop by and take a tour of our manufacturing process when visiting the area.

There are many factors that go into the price of our product, just like any product. There is R&D (research and development) time and expenses. Just as an example, our engineers worked 18 months on the Honda Odyssey with the VMI Northstar conversion. We put a lot of work into every facet of the vehicle and conversion. Within this R&D work is also a lot of testing. For months on end, we have products in our R&D area doing nothing but cycling over and over to test the mechanics and durability of the product. In addition to testing, the vehicle has to go through a myriad of testing to pass all federal government requirements; front crash test, rear crash test, side crash test, and pull testing (for seat belts). These are millions of dollars of costs incurred before we built a single production unit.

The actual production of converting the vehicle for wheelchair accessibility is very invasive. When we receive a vehicle for conversion, the first thing we do is take everything out of the vehicle, everything. Your pretty shiny new van is stripped to pretty shiny shell. We then cut out the original manufacturer's floor. To give wheelchair users the best line of site in the vehicle, we have to add an entirely new floor, which is dropped 11". That floor gets welded back onto the vehicle and then it is a process of putting things back together. We add in all the ramp equipment and ensure it is correctly tied up to the electrical system. We then have to add the ground effect/flares so the new lowered floor is not exposed. The vans go through painting where we have all OEM paint colors to ensure the best match to your van. The next process is for the van to enter our Hurricane Booth to ensure there are no leaks in the van. All in all, each van has more than 100 man hours in order to complete the entire process.

I strongly recommend that when looking for a wheelchair accessible van, do your research. VMI has been converting vehicles for over 20 years. We have thousands of vans on the road with hundreds of repeat customers. When shopping for a van, learn about the manufacturer, call and talk to people that work there, not the sales people, but ask to talk to an engineer or a product manager. I, at times spend the majority of my day by chatting on the phone with customers. We email each other, stay in touch, exchange information. I am always available to talk anytime, for however long. I want the customer to feel educated and confident about what they are buying. Do your homework and remember the old adage, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

Car Ramps - Making Fixing and Transporting Vehicles a Snap

When it comes to car ramps, there is a lot to consider. For example, there are a lot of front end clearance problems to consider. This invention may seem simple, but when you consider that different vehicles have different clearances things do not seem that simple. Other considerations needed to be made include the size of tires, prevention of roll off and over travel, and centering the tires.

There are many different types of car ramps. They come in so many different types and provide different benefits. Many of these ramps can provide 10,000 pounds of G.V.W. per pair. The inclines are typically removable and the steel used is more often than not Heavy Gauge and solid. These also vary based on usage. There are sport ramps that include race ramps and "extenders".

There are wheel cribs, roll ups, flat stoppers, show cribs, and there are even scale ramps. The prices vary, but almost never are expensive. Often times than not you can get fantastic quality for cheap.

Things to consider

There are many other things to consider when purchasing ramps. Does the business or person need gripping rubber feet? How much weight does this product need to accommodate? With the weight of automobiles varying so much it is needed to be considered imperatively. The G.V.W. of the pieces can vary from 7,000 pounds all the way to 12,000! Another important detail to consider is how long of an incline is needed. Typically there is a 7.8 degree incline but the degree can vary.

How to know which ramp is needed?

For 56″ or 67″ ramps, there is a test to figure out which is needed. You need to place one end of a yardstick at the front inside edge of the tire contact patch. It doesn't matter which front tire, either or. Elevate the opposing end of the yardstick until it touches the front spoiler at the bottom. If the vertical distance is 7.25″ or greater, the car will definitely clear the ramps. If not, then it is important to look into some sort of extender.

There are also companies out there that make customized ramps. It doesn't matter whether they are for cars, medical needs, aerospace, or even advertising displays many of the companies out there can make anything you can imagine needing in regards to ramps.

Car ramps are useful tools that can be used right at home in the driveway!

Build your own low profile car ramps for about $60 Part 1

If you have a really low car and want to do basic work on your own you're going to need some ramps. For cars like Vipers and Corvettes you're going to need to buy Race ramps for $200 or more. Not even the lowest profile rhino ramps work. If you dont want to spend the money build your own ramps for about $60. Materials At least a jigsaw. Better equipment=nicer ramps. 6 boards measuring 8 feet long 10 inches wide and 2 inches tall. If you have wider then 10 inch tires get some wider boards. Wood Glue 50 4 inch nails Power Drill Small drill bit Marker Tape measure * I am not responsible for potential injuries or a potentially damaged car. Do this at your own risk. Be safe*
